My book, Dear Reader, is now available on Amazon in both paperback and eBook formats. The 43-page book features 11 handwritten letters and a short story titled, “The Greatest Penman Alive”.
What I know right now
I’m getting close with the book I’ve been talking about. I’m still finalizing things, but here’s what I can share at this time.
A self publishing secret
I’m continuing to make progress on the book, which will feature a collection of handwritten letters like the one enclosed below. I actually finished writing the final handwritten letters last night.
Sneak peak at the book
A couple months ago I mentioned that I’m working on compiling these handwritten letters in to a book. Well, that process is moving right along.
This week I received a letter from subscriber T. E. Brady, Jr and he challenges me to write some copy from the Zaner Method Manual 144.
More writing, less talking
I’ve enjoyed writing these letters every week for the past few months. More than anything, they give me a reason to sit down and write. That said, I’ve talked enough about my thoughts on penmanship and learning and life. The only thing left to do now is write.
Missed connection
Like many others that study American penmanship, I revere the penman of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Next month will mark 13 years since I got my first job as a web developer. I had no formal training or experience, but my cousin took a chance and gave me a shot.
It’s been one week
Another week, another letter, it’s all a blur. The weeks, months, years go by so fast. Seems like just yesterday I was beginning in penmanship.
How to improve your handwriting
I recently published an article on the topic of improving your handwriting with my friend Max on his website, lettering-daily.com.
