To drag a pen across the page

Someone suggested that I handwrite these messages and I thought that was a great idea. I will also type out the letter for easier reading. I think writing by hand will result in better content, or at least different content.

Dear Reader,

Someone suggested that I handwrite these messages and I thought that was a great idea. I will also type out the letter for easier reading. I think writing by hand will result in better content, or at least different content.

Writing by hand forces you to think about what you want to say, at least in this letter-style format where I cannot easily make corrections or changes. It also encourages economy as it is a easier and faster to get to the point with simple words.

You’ll also get a look at my casual handwriting, which I hope is legible enough for you, or at least interesting. I haven’t written with the pen in over a month and as always after taking such breaks, I am reminded of how nice it is [to] drag a pen across the page.

Sincerely,

Dave
